If your organisation manages several companies on Xace, you no longer need to log out and log back in every time you move between them.
Company Switching (also known as Multi-Company Login) lets you stay in a single session and switch between your linked company profiles from a dropdown in the app.
Who is this for?
This feature is for organisations that operate multiple companies on Xace and use a separate login for each one, e.g, different legal entities under the same group.
What you get
· One sign-in: authenticate once in the web app.
· Fast switching: choose the company you need without re-entering your username and password.
· Easier group management: you can handle payments, accounts, and approvals across legal entities in one working session.
· Self-service setup: link and unlink your own profiles in the app, without contacting support or your account manager.
· Security: you only see companies you already have access to. Switching happens inside your authenticated session.
Important: This feature does not merge permissions. Each company still has its own user profile and access rights. Company Switching only makes it easier to move between profiles you already have.
How to link a profile
Before you can switch between companies, the profiles must be linked:
1. Open your Profile page in Xace:
2. Under Linked Profiles, find and click the Link Profile button:
3. You will be redirected to a new window. Log in to the other account you want to connect.
4. After logging in, you will be redirected to that account.
5. Open the company/profile dropdown — you should see all linked companies there:
From that point on, you can switch between them without logging out.
Tip: Link profiles that belong to the same person and role across companies (for example, your APPROVER login for Company A with your APPROVER login for Company B). That keeps permissions and responsibilities clear.
How to switch between companies
Sign in as usual.
In the web app, find the company or profile in your Profile page.
Select the company you need. The interface updates to show the data, accounts, and activity for that company. Switching is instant.
Continue working!
To move to another company, open the switcher again and select it.
How to unlink a profile
If you no longer want two profiles connected:
5. Go to your Profile page.
6. Find the linked profile you want to remove.
7. Click the delete icon next to it.
The profiles are separated immediately. Switching between those companies will then require a normal login again.
Important to know
Primary vs. additional profiles
· Primary profile — the one you use to sign in and to set up the mobile app and two-factor authentication.
· Additional profiles — other companies you can switch to after signing in.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Your session uses 2FA from whichever account you logged in to most recently.
If you switch to another company and perform a sensitive action (such as making a payment), you will need the 2FA code from the most recently used account.
Keep this in mind if you use different authenticator setups per company.
Notifications and emails
These follow the company where the action happened:
· Notifications go to the account where the action took place.
· Emails are sent to the email address on that same account.
So if you approve a payment in Company B, Company B’s notification settings apply — even if you switched there from Company A.
Security
· Only link profiles you own and are authorised to manage.
· When you click Link Profile, you must log in to the other account — that is how we confirm it is really yours.
· Do not link accounts that belong to different people or unrelated organisations.
· If you are unsure whether two profiles should be connected, check with your internal admin or account manager before linking.
Example
Sarah manages three companies: A Ltd, B Corp, and C Inc.
Before: She signed into A, made a payment, signed out, signed into B, passed 2FA again, and so on.
Now: Sarah signs in once, links her profiles, then switches to B to create a payment and to C to review balances — all without signing in again.
FAQ
Do I need to create a new account?
Your existing profile in each company is used, so there is no need to create a new account. You link those profiles in the app.
Is it secure?
Yes. You only see companies you are authorised to access. Switching happens inside your protected session, and linking requires you to log in to each account you connect.
Can I give a colleague access to all companies at once?
No. Permissions are still set per company. This feature does not change access rights — it only makes life easier for users who already have access to multiple companies.
What if I used to need help from support to link profiles?
That was the earlier setup process. You can now link and unlink profiles yourself from your Profile page. If you run into issues, your account manager or support team can still help.
Need help?
If you have trouble linking profiles or are unsure which accounts should be connected, contact your account manager or our support team. We are happy to walk you through it!
