What is Slack?
Slack is a team messaging and collaboration platform. Teams use Slack channels to communicate, share updates, coordinate work, and keep a searchable history of conversations.
What is it for?
Slack is commonly used for day-to-day internal communication — especially by finance, operations, treasury, and compliance teams who need fast, visible alerts without relying on email or constantly checking dashboards.
How does the Xace + Slack integration work?
You connect your Slack workspace to Xace using the Xace Connect integration in Slack. Once connected, payment and account activity from Xace is sent directly into your Slack channels in real time.
Setup — you choose:
Which Xace accounts should send notifications
Which Slack channels should receive them
Which event types you want to be notified about
Just click on Add Mapping, and you will be able to select Account, Slack Channel, and Event:
Supported events include:
PaymentReceived, TransactionReceived, PaymentRequested, PaymentApproved, PaymentDeclined, card events (e.g. CardCreated, CardBlocked), and statement/document events.
What each notification can include:
Payment amount and currency
Beneficiary/payee information
Account used
Status (requested, approved, declined)
Timestamps and transaction references
A link back to the relevant item in Xace
Example use cases
A large incoming payment triggers an alert in your Finance or Treasury channel
A payment awaiting approval appears in your “Approvals” channel with a link to review it in Xace
A declined payment or blocked card notifies the operations team immediately
Sensitive activity can be routed to a private channel for senior staff only
What you gain
Real-time visibility without logging into Xace
Faster approvals — approvers see prompts in channels they already monitor
Less risk of payments getting lost in email inboxes
Cross-team collaboration directly in Slack threads
A chronological, searchable log of payment activity
